The top grosser list comprises of films including “Mother India”, “Mughal-e-Azam”, “Sholay”, “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge”, ” Ghajini”, “3 Idiots”, “Maine Pyar Kiya”, “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun”, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and “Dabangg”.
“Dabangg” made a box office collection of Rs 116 crores. With respect to the success of “Dabangg” Salman stated “Dabangg” has meant a reiteration of his belief in a certain brand of cinema that transcends all divides.
“I have always maintained that there is no difference in the multiplex and the single-screen audience; between the cosmopolitan and the small town viewer; between the so-called masses and the classes. And “Dabangg” lives up to my belief.”
